McCarthy VW Westgate supports Children and Teenagers
A BIG thumbs up! to McCarthy VW Westgate for partnering with Neema Lalela, a registered NPO/PBO in Wilro Park, whose mission is to invest into and uplift the lives of children and teenagers from less privileged backgrounds and to give them a healthy start into adulthood. True to VW’s vision to make their brand the No 1 choice for the family, McCarthy VW Westgate is making a VW up! motor vehicle available to Neema Lalela and the two foster Families in their care. In a hand-over ceremony at McCarthy VW Westgate on Thursday 6 October the nifty little VW up! was handed over to Neema Lalela and the two families.
Neema Lalela, which is also the social arm of the West Rand Lutheran Community Church in Wilro Park, has a house adjacent to the church property where the two foster families (8 children) live. Neema Lalela, together with the Church Community, takes care of all the physical and spiritual needs of the two families. Most of the children attended the church’s Nursery School Westrand JOYLAND and 5 of the children are currently in the church’s Primary School RIVERBANK. 2 of the children are visually impaired and attend Prinshof School for the Visually Impaired in Pretoria. The VW up! sponsored by McCarthy VW Westgate will come in very handy for the many trips which need to be made to take the children to and from boarding school on a weekly basis. The little VW up! will also come in handy for the foster mothers‘ weekly shopping trips as well as their weekly training and support programs and all the other errands that need to be run.
Neema Lalela also supports various other children and teenager programs through its many local and overseas donors. All donations are welcome and are tax deductible. Please contact Neema Lalela at www.neemalalela.co.za for more information.
